Tambú makes accessible musical instruments that allow children and adults to play melodies without previous musical experience. The tongue drums have a soft, full sound and use colours and numbers. The colour codes follow an internationally used system for reading music in which each note is linked to a fixed colour. Players can follow the colours in the included music book and connect them to the corresponding notes on the instrument. This makes notes and melodies visually readable and allows beginners to start playing straight away.
The range consists of several sizes. Baby Tambú 6 is the most compact model and has eight notes. Its smaller size makes it easy to carry and suitable as a first introduction to a tongue drum.
The original Tambú has eleven notes and is available in several colours. Its wider tonal range offers more possibilities for melodies and makes this model suitable for children, teenagers and adults.
Tambú Plus is the largest model. The larger sound box produces a deeper and fuller sound. This model is suitable for older children, adults, music activities and workshops.
The different sizes, colours and price points allow retailers to create either a compact display or a broader music collection. Tambú is a good fit for toy shops, music shops, bookshops, gift shops and educational retailers.
The model, dimensions, colour, contents and number of notes are specified separately for each instrument.
