This Just Rocks in a Box set contains 64 Crayon Rocks in 32 different colours, with two crayons of each colour. It is particularly suitable for schools, childcare settings, therapists and other professionals who let several children draw at the same time or use large quantities of crayons.
The sturdy kraft storage box has individual compartments, making the crayons easy to distribute, collect and store.
Crayon Rocks are small, pebble-shaped crayons designed to support the tripod grip between thumb, index finger and middle finger. Their shape encourages a relaxed grip. A light colour appears as soon as the crayon touches the paper, while extra pressure produces a more intense colour. This also makes them useful for people with limited hand strength or motor abilities.
Drawing and colouring exercises the small hand muscles, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills used when learning to write. The broad sides fill larger areas of paper easily. Drawing with larger movements of the hand and arm also supports gross motor development.
This version offers greater colour variety and is ideal when a broad choice of shades is more important than having many crayons in the same colour. The colours can be layered and blended for lines, broad areas and colour mixtures.
The crayons are made from plant-based soy wax. Depending on the colour, mineral or food-grade pigments are used. Brighter shades use food-grade pigments when the required colour cannot be achieved with a mineral pigment.
Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years. Choking hazard due to the size of the crayon. Children aged 3 years and over should use this product under appropriate supervision by a parent or another responsible adult.
