Natural Earth Paint Petite children's paint kit — 6 natural earth colours

The Petite Natural Earth Paint Kit contains six colour packets and one bamboo paint brush. The colours are Venetian Red, Orange Ochre, Yellow Ochre, Terre Verte, Ultramarine Blue and Raw Umber. The powder is made from natural earth and mineral pigments, organic corn starch and gum arabic. Mix it with water to create a creamy, tempera-like paint. Add more water for a thinner, more transparent paint with a watercolour-like effect.

The Petite kit is the current successor to the earlier Discovery kit. The larger Experience kit remains available as a separate product.

This compact kit is suitable from age 3 for school projects, crafts and painting on surfaces such as paper, wood, rocks, fabric and glass. Artists and adult creatives can also use it when they want ready-to-mix, water-thinnable earth colours without preparing pigment and binder from their own recipe. This is children's paint, not professional artist paint.

One kit makes up to approximately 1 litre of paint, depending on the amount of water added. Preferably mix only the amount needed. Mixed paint is best used fresh and can be kept for approximately two weeks in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator.

Important to know

• Earth pigments have their own natural colour character. They do not mix in the same way as synthetic primary colours and will not always produce bright secondary colours.
• The powder must be mixed with water before use. This allows you to control the quantity and consistency, but requires an extra preparation step.
• Not intended for consumption.
• For face and body painting, use Natural Face Paint. The children's paint may be drying or irritating during prolonged skin contact.
• The paint is washable with soap and water. Some pigments may stain more strongly, so prompt cleaning is recommended.
